Jasem M. Alrajhi is Assistant Professor of Automotive (Mechanical) Engineering and Head of Department of Automotive and Marine Engineering Technology at the College of Technological Studies (CTS) since 2010. He received his B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Dayton University, USA in 1994 and M.Sc. with honor degrees in Automotive Engineering (Brake and Safety Vehicle System) from University of Leeds, UK in 1999. Then he received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering – Vehicle Accident Reconstruction and Safety System to Reduce Rear Impact Nick Injury – from Monash University, Australia in 2006. Dr. Alrajhi has a good experience in the maintenance of refineries’ equipments as he was working as Filed maintenance mechanical engineers at Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) from 1994 - 1997. Then, he worked from 1999 to now as a staff member in the College of Technological Studies (CTS) at The Public Authority of Applied Education and Training (PAAET) in Kuwait. Dr. Alrajhi is a member of Kuwait Society of Engineers (KSE), Chapter of PAAET Faculty Members and Australasian & South Pacific Association of Collision Investigators (ASPACI).




Dr. Yousef Alholi.

Yousef Alhouli received his Marine Engineering Ticket in 1991 from South Tyne-side College (United Kingdom), and received a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering with honor degrees in 1998 from the University of Coventry (United Kingdom), and received a Master's degree in Marine Engineering in 2002 from the University of Newcastle (United Kingdom), and obtained a PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2011 from the University of Manchester (United Kingdom). Yousef worked on board tankers as a Marine Engineer with Kuwait Oil Tanker co. for about two years, then worked in training institute for about 10 years in the Industrial Training Institute (Sabah Alsalem), and from 2002 to now works as a member of the teaching staff in the College of Technological Studies(CTS) at The Public Authority of Applied Education and Training (PAAET) in Kuwait.




Dr. Abdulkareem Aloraier.

Dr. Abdulkareem Aloraier has excellent experience in the maintenance of refinery equipment as he was one of the maintenance mechanical engineers at Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) handling stationary equipment. Following his Ph.D. (Monash University, Australia, 2006) in optimization of the Flux Cored Arc Welding Process using the Temper Bead Welding (TBW) technique as an alternative to Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT), he was hired as an Assistant Professor at the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET), after which he took up a position as the Vice Dean for Students Affairs at the College of Technological Studies (CTS), Kuwait. Dr. Aloraier has a number of scientific publications related to different topics, such as optimization of both conventional and unconventional welding processes, corrosion control of pipelines, and welding simulation using Finite Element Analysis (FEA). He has supervised a number of post graduate students. Dr. Aloraier's current research interests include, but are not limited to: Friction Stir Welding and Processing, FE modeling using SYSWELD, and Co2 Corrosion control in oil industries.


Dr. Khalid Alkhulaifi.

Khalid Alkhulaifi is an assistant professor and a faculty member since 1996 in the Power and Air conditioning department at the college of technological studies in Kuwait. He received his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from University of Dayton,USA , MSc degree in thermal science from Florida Institute of Technology, USA, and Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Monash University, Australia. Alkhulaifi has a number of publications and a good experience in internal combustion engines. He is a member of Society of automotive engineers (SAE) and Kuwait Society of Engineers.




Dr. Mohsen Alardhi.

Dr. Mohsen alardhi is an assistant professor at the College of Technical Studies in Kuwait . He received his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the University of Dayton ,USA , MSc degree in Thermal Power from Cranfiled University , U.K. , and Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Manchester University , U.K .Prior to joining College of Technical Studies he had held various engineering positions as a maintenance engineer for the power plant and petrochemical industries in Kuwait.




Dr. Najla Alfaraj.

Najla Alfaraj is a faculty member in Electronics Engineering Technology Department at the College of Technological Studies (CTS) at The Public Authority of Applied Education and Training (PAAET) in Kuwait. She received her B.Sc. and M.Sc. with honor degrees in Computer Engineering from Kuwait University, in 1999 and 2001, respectively. She received her Ph.D. in the Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic Institute of New York University, USA in 2012. Before starting her Ph.D. study in 2006, she worked in her field as system engineer at Schlumberger in 1999, then database administrator at Kuwait University in 2000, and IT Vice manager in the Commercial Real Estate Company in Kuwait between 2002 and 2006. During the same time, she was an assistant instructor at CTS where she received her scholarship to pursue a Ph.D. degree in the United States. Najla is a member of IEEE, Kuwait Society of Engineers (KSE) and Chapter of PAAET Faculty Members.




Dr. Taha Elhag

Taha Elhag is a senior lecturer in Project Management at UCL. Previously, he was a lecturer at UMIST and Manchester University. His teaching duties comprise undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and course directorship. Dr. Elhag's academic experience also includes the supervision of MSc dissertations and PhD research and acting as internal and external examiner for various universities. He is also an expert reviewer for many international journals and EPSRC research projects. His research experience incorporates his role as principal investigator in EPSRC research grants.

He was a visiting lecturer at the Universities of Reading, Manchester and the British University in Dubai (BUiD). His experience also involves working as site engineer and project manager with contracting organisations. Dr. Elhag has actively published in international refereed conferences and refereed journals. He is a member of the Association for Project Management (MAPM).

Dr. Elsayed E.M. Ellaimony is Assistant Professor, Department of Automotive and Marine Engineering Technology at the College of Technological Studies (CTS), PAAET, Kuwait. He received his B.Sc. in Automotive Engineering from Helwan University, Egypt in 1975 and M.Sc. in Automotive Engineering from Helwan University, Egypt in 1982. Then he received his Ph.D. in Automotive Engineering from Helwan University, Egypt in 1985.

Dr. Swilem A.M. Swilem is Assistant Professor, Department of Automotive and Marine Engineering Technology at the College of Technological Studies (CTS), PAAET, Kuwait. He received his B.Sc. in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from Alexandria University, Egypt in 1982 and M.Sc. in Structural Design from Alexandria University, Egypt in 1986. Then he received his Ph.D. in Structural Design from Hiroshima University, Japan 1992. Research assistant at Hiroshima University 1992-1993.

Dr. Hilal A. Abdelwali is Assistant Professor, Department of Automotive and Marine Engineering Technology at the College of Technological Studies (CTS), PAAET, Kuwait. He received his B.Sc. in Automotive Engineering from Minia University, Egypt in 1988 and M.Sc. in Automotive Engineering from Minia University, Egypt in 1992. Then he received his Ph.D. in Automotive Engineering from Minia University, Egypt; Chanel Scheme with the University of Nebraska, Lincoln (UNL), USA in 1997. Dr. Hilal is an SAE member since 2001 to now.




Dr. Fahad Almaskari.

Fahad Almaskari, Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, University of Manchester, UK, 2010, has acquired the necessary skills to model impact using ABAQUS finite element package. Prior to joining the Mechanical Engineering department at the Petroleum Institute as assistant professor in 2011, he was a senior mechanical engineer at GASCO, an ADNOC operating company. His primary interests are damage and failure in materials, application of composite materials and solar energy.
